Iain Searle

Iain Searle is the Fleet Manager for The Dutra Group, overseeing the Hopper Dredges and supporting equipment.

Iain is a technical leader with over 20 years of experience in electrical and mechanical engineering. Prior to joining The Dutra Group, Iain spent over a decade as a seagoing engineer, after which he served as a Marine Technical Superintendent for Holland America where he excelled in bringing improved efficiencies as he directed the technical management of the fleet. Since joining The Dutra Group, Iain has successfully managed multiple drydocks and directed and lead all aspects of technical maintenance and repair for The Dutra Group’s Hopper Dredges.  

Iain is married to his wife Melissa and has 4 daughters. He is a member of the Society of Port Engineers of San Francisco and holds a degree in Marine and Electrical Engineering from Plymouth University in the UK. Iain is married to his wife Melissa and has 4 daughters.
